Nursery Production Staff

Employment

• Seasonal full-time (April-October)
• In-house training provided
• Required to work some Saturdays

Job Description

• Responsible for working in various areas of nursery production
• Assist in maintenance of plants: weed control, irrigation, staking, pruning, fertilizing etc.
• Field planting
• Caliper tree harvesting
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Equipment operation

Qualifications

• Formal horticultural training and experience operating equipment is an asset
• Professional and enthusiastic work ethic
• Enjoy working outdoors
• Good physical condition
• Class 5 driver’s license and abstract

Education

Foothills Nurseries supports continuing education in Horticulture. Locally, Olds College of Alberta offers several programs related to Agriculture, Horticulture and the Environment.
